Enter His Gates

FOUND THIS THANKSGIVING PRINTABLE ON PINTEREST
Yesterday was Thanksgiving. We hosted 27 people at our home. What I loved about this crowd, was that it was made up of not only members from my immediate and extended family, but friends that we have adopted as our own.

That's one thing I remember about my family and the holidays when I was growing up, inviting friends who were without family, for various reason, into our home. This is one tradition that I have attempted to continue each year since I was married and had a family of my own, always looking for those who may need a place to land on the holidays.

I want my kids to understand that our family is not just those people who we are related to, but anyone we invite into our home. They become our family.

God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ.
This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasures. Ephesians 1:5

God has adopted us. We are a part of His family. For this I am most grateful.

Now that Thanksgiving is over and we are heading into the Christmas season, I am planning to continue the spirit of Thanksgiving, to give to others and be thankful for my many blessings.

GOT A BOUNCE HOUSE. THE KIDS ARE STILL THANKING ME

Enter his gates with Thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalms 100:4
