I Wish & Verse 2

There are many things that I wish. I wish to be a phenomenal singer, to have smaller feet, and to be a profiler for the FBI. Among these unreachables, is my dream of being a photographer. Of being able to capture that perfect moment, with great lighting and superb focus. To take the kind of photos that seem to come alive.

This desire and love of photography has increased since I started reading more blogs. I love looking at the photos people post. I also enjoy asking and reading about their camera choices. Unfortunately, this has recently led me feelings of insecurity about my own photos and a lot little bit of jealousy.

Since this was not a place I wanted to be, in a state of insecurity and jealousy, I needed to turn my negative thoughts into positive actions. How could I make my own photos more creative, without buying an expensive camera that I would probably be intimidated to use? How could I make my everyday photos more exciting, more artistic?

The answer. Combine my desire take more creative photos with the 30-Day Scripture Challenge. As a result, I have been searching my daily surroundings in an effort to find crosses in unexpected places. In yesterday's post, the cross I photographed was actually a drain pipe. Today, I present to you...the window pane cross. On it, I have placed my verse to represent the word strength.

I don't think that real photography is in my future, at least not the near one. For now, I will stick to iPhone photography, with a little help from some of my favorite iphoto editing apps, like AfterGlow, Instagram, and Pic Stitch.

Do you have any dreams? What do you wish for, unreachable or not? Are you an iPhone photographer, like me?

That window pane cross is awesome!I too want to be a great photographer. I've seen some really shots that other people have taken. I cannot compare my novice abilities to theirs so my only desire is to capture MY perfect perspective of whatever it is I choose to capture! Be inspired!

I know how you feel as well Sybil when it comes to comparing your work to others. I took a photography class last year and I can look at my pics now and think wow I took that?! But during the class it felt like I didn't have a clue of what I was doing compared to everyone else, even though my instructor often used my pics from our assignments among those that "got it right" so to speak.

I think a lot of it i not only the beauty of the photo but the story that the photography tells. I just happened to see this photo on Instagram prior to your post and thought to myself great pic because it matches the scripture you've paired it with.

And the good thing about you being an Instagram photographer is that you can get a feel for it and see if the larger investment would be worth it to you in the end so I say that's a smart way to go about starting!

I can relate to all of this!! Yes just about all but the small feet..see I am the opposite my feet are pretty much the only things (well my feet and hands) about me that are small. I feel so off balance. I can even wear my 8 year olds socks etc. Yeah it is sad.
I also LOVE what you are doing with your photos! It is simply amazing!!!! And i would of never guessed you didnt have some high-tech camera. you have skills :)
Love the verse too :)
